South London Jazz Orchestra is a community big band that is open to musicians who want to play swing and jazz, with a splash of latin, funk and blues. With more than 100 members on the books, it is Britain’s biggest regularly performing jazz orchestra.

SLJO is committed to playing for local community events, but it has also wowed audiences in Belgium and Guernsey, not to mention several sell-out shows at the Edinburgh Fringe.
The band welcomes players of around ABRSM Grade 5 level and above, but formal qualifications are not necessary – the main entry requirement is unbounded enthusiasm!
